Although the economy appears to be improving and job opportunities more plentiful, we all know people who have been unemployed or under-employed for awhile. How do you ask them about their day? How do you introduce them to other friends and acquaintances? How do you show concern or empathy without being insulting? As one individual who was out of work and drawing unemployment for over a year related, "When people say 'Do what you love' or 'God has a plan for you,' it’s borderline insulting.
