A study by researchers at Cambridge University suggests that music can make us feel more connected to other people, especially when we play music together. They studied 28 girls and 24 boys between the ages of 8 and 11. Half of the children were assigned to a special music program that met once a week for an entire school year. They played games that encouraged interaction and imitation with music. The other group played similar games that did not involve music.
