Recent studies show that exercise may boost your memory. An interesting highlight of these studies concludes that different types of exercise produce different results regarding memory retention. The study followed a group of recruits who had been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment as they performed endurance exercise, (walking, for example), weight training, or stretching and toning exercises. The results were surprising. After six months, the participants in the stretching-and-toning group actually scored worse on memory tests than they had at the beginning of the study.
