“Picture Your Life After Cancer” is a recent publication from the American Cancer Society. Based on a New York Times project, it presents more than 1,500 cancer survivors who submitted photos of themselves along with their personal experiences after receiving a diagnosis of cancer. Common themes in the book are that people took the time to seek out adventure, spend time with their families, or do something that they had put off for another day. There are almost 14 million cancer survivors today, and half are younger than 70.
