According to Marcus Aurelius, “A man’s life is what his thoughts make it.” While a person cannot escape anxiety completely, it is impossible to be happy or comfortable if you are in a constant state of worry and fear about future events. Usually, we have little control over what the future may bring. Even if we are aware of future happenings, the best we can do is prepare ourselves to meet possible challenges and not be incessantly plagued by what-ifs that may never come to pass.
