Why You Shouldn’t Ignore A Grieving Heart

A recent study has shown that a person’s heart attack symptoms after they’ve lost a loved one shouldn’t be dismissed as “just” a psychological reaction to grief.  The stress of losing a loved one appears to significantly increase one’s risk for heart attack, especially for those already at high risk for heart problems.  Within 24 hours of the death of a loved one, heart attack incidents increased 21-fold, and a week later the risk was 1 in 1,394 for low-risk and 1 in 320 for those in the high risk category.  In this situation, any heart attack symptoms should be taken very seriously.Read the full article here: Why You Shouldn’t Ignore A Grieving Heart
